BCT 2772 Construction Estimating - Finishes and Systems

This course teaches the bid-contract system used by the construction industry and provides the skills necessary to estimate residential and commercial work in the following areas: thermal and moisture protection; windows and doors; exterior insulation and finish systems; gypsum wallboard; flooring; painting; acoustical treatments, finish carpentry and trim. Students perform labor and material takeoffs, cost calculation, and make adjustments for general conditions, bonds, insurance, alternates, work conditions, overhead, and profit.
