DIG 3703 Modeling and Simulation Principles

This course teaches basic techniques used to design and implement modeling and simulation environments. Topics include a historic overview of computer games and simulators, modeling procedures, description and use of simulation engines, practical modeling of objects and terrain, and use of audio. Physics and artificial intelligence in simulations are covered. The course is divided between lectures and practical assignments. Course assignments include the design of a 3D simulation implemented in a team environment.
