ETD 2371 Introduction to Prototyping

This course teaches how to create physical 3D models using rapid prototyping, multiple manufacturing software applications, and multi-axis machining. Topics include design concepts, translation issues with software, set-up of 3D printers and multi-axis machines for metal operations, and the creation of the design in solid form. Sketches, constraints, and automated dimensions of the models and assembly parameters are discussed.
