PHI 1401 Science and Society

This course examines the relationship between science and society with an eye toward improving scientific reasoning skills and promoting an understanding of the nature and value of science. It explores such questions as "What is science?" "How does science affect society?" "How does society affect science?" "What are the ethical implications of scientific practices?" and "What are the ethical implications of scientific conclusions?"
