PHT 1211 Disabilities and Therapeutic Procedures I

This course introduces the theory and practical application of physical therapy modalities used by the Physical Therapist Assistant. Physical principles, physiological effects, indications/contraindications of therapeutic heat and cold, ultrasound, traction, intermittent compression electrotherapy, radiant therapy, hydrotherapy, and massage on the body are presented. Chest physical therapy is included.
