CJE 3065 Police and Society

This course examines the function of police in a democracy. It focuses on the changing role of law enforcement throughout history and the impetus for these changes including key legislation, court rulings, and shifts in the societal fabric. The need for law enforcement to respond and adapt to changes as well as current and emerging issues are addressed.
