DTE 2030L Occlusal Topography Lab (N)

This course is the laboratory application of Occlusal Topography Theory. Student use the positive waxing technique to learn the precise placement of occlusal anatomy with relation to the opposing arch, taking into consideration centric occlusal, lateral excursive and protrusive movements to prevent premature interferences. The negative waxing technique is utilized to demonstrate the clearance of interferences in excursive movements. Models are articulated to wax teeth into "ideal" centric occlusion with maximum intercuspation without excursive interferences.
